Baby Flutters =)

Hi again from Virginia! I just wanted to share the latest news here on the east coast. Yesterday, I officially entered into my 15th week! But the big news is that yesterday afternoon I felt the baby move! It was 3 little fluttery butterfly movements (that’s the only way I know to describe it). Kenny and I are ecstatic! I can not believe it, but week after next, I will be in the 5th month! It is flying by! Pretty soon, we’ll have a new little life in our hands.
After being under the weather, yet again (I’ve had a virus on and off again for 3 weeks), Kenny and I thoroughly enjoyed this past weekend by going to Old Town Alexandria and downtown D.C. with our friends Alyssa, Brian, and their little boy, Sladen. We had such a fun time! We ate at a fabulous restaurant called Bugsy’s, went to a historic candy store, and finally went to see the major landmarks in D.C. By the end of the weekend, we were completely zonked out. All Kenny and I wanted to do was take a nap! haha.
Thankfully, some of our friends and family are coming to visit us this month. We are very excited! Our friend Christy is coming this Saturday through Thursday, and we are planning some fun-filled excursions. There is just so much to do here in this area…and most of it’s free, which makes it even better!
More news…I’m headed to the OBGYN Monday (at 16 weeks), so hopefully new ultrasound photos will be posted VERY soon!
O! One more piece of news that I am VERY thankful for…The military wives at the Ceremonial Guard have asked me to take on the role as Vice-President. I get to assist in planning events and doing what I can to make things run smoothly. I’m excited to be a part of this group! We are actually taking a tour of the Pentagon this upcoming week (and Christy will be with me!)
Well, we look forward to hearing from you soon! Sending many hugs!

As always it was really good to hear from you two. You are right about feeling that first movement, it is like a miracle to feel that first movement. And the time will fly by so quick that it will seem like it is tomorrow……I am still in shock here. I have not decided if I got downsized, laid off, or just plain got fired. But Kirk Dendy told me this week that Don’s wife was going to do the bookkeeping and I would not be needed any longer. He said the company was losing money and he had to “plug up the leaks in the boat”. So look for the Cycle Shop to go under within the year. For one thing Don’s wife has always worked for a bank, not as a bookkeeper. In High School I studied bookkeeping, algebra, geometry and other math classes and I went to college to study accounting, and advanced accounting classes, take law classes and Federal tax classes. I did not go far enough to get a CPA license, but the auditors who have come in to audit my books at the Cycle Shop have always thought that I had worked for a CPA in the past. But Don’s wife does not have those qualifications……I have not decided if I want revenge and see the bookkeeping goofed up and them go under or if I want them to succeed…..I know that God has always taken care of me, and I pray that he is willing to keep on the job with me…..Marilyn has told me to apply for unemployment, and that will give me an income for about 18 months. I will let you know on that project later. Take care and may God bless you each day. Love Mamaw and Papaw.
